Muse Escapes Access Statement

Welcome to Muse Escapes, beautifully nestled in the Peak District. Our elegantly restored manor house, Foxlow Grange, offers eight distinct apartments, combining historical charm with modern comfort. Our commitment is to ensure all guests enjoy a comfortable and accessible stay, with thoughtful accommodations catering to diverse needs.

General Accessibility:

  • Parking: The car park features a gravel surface leading up to a concrete porch at the front door.
  • Entry: The porch lighting is equipped with a light sensor for enhanced visibility and safety during evening hours. The front door features a touch keypad for keyless entry, providing an effortless arrival experience. Once inside, guests will need to access their individual apartment keybox.
  • Ground Floor Access: Four apartments are accessible on the ground floor, accommodating various needs.
  • Lighting: Hallways in the main house are equipped with motion sensors, ensuring areas are well-lit for safe and easy navigation at all times.

Detailed Apartment Options:

  • The Crescent Suite: Accessed by 8 steps, this ground floor duplex apartment features two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a private entrance, and a hot tub in the outdoor area.
  • The Buxton Suite: Located on the ground floor, this apartment includes two bedrooms, a master bedroom with a freestanding deep brass bath, and a shared bathroom with a shower over a deep bath. It offers level access to a garden with a hot tub.
  • The Opera Suite: This ground floor unit has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bathroom features a shower over the bath and a small step to access one of the bedrooms. The garden includes a multi-level area with a hot tub.
  • The Solomon Suite: A ground floor duplex, suitable for 2-3 adults or a family, featuring a king-size room and a small double sharing a bathroom with a shower. The patio area includes one step leading to a fire pit and BBQ.
  • The Chrome Hill Suite: Located on the first floor, accessed by stairs (no lift available), this suite has a bathroom with a shower over a deep bath and offers an interconnecting option with the Cavern Suite.
  • The Cavern Suite: Also on the first floor, this two-bedroom suite includes a family bathroom and a master bedroom down two steps, with an ensuite bathroom featuring a shower over the bath. It can interconnect with the Chrome Hill Suite.
  • The Millerdale: Positioned on the second floor, accessed via three flights of stairs (no lift), this one-bedroom apartment includes a bathroom with a shower over the bath.
  • The Devonshire Apartment: A penthouse duplex on the second floor (stair access only), featuring three bedrooms over two levels, bathrooms including walk-in showers and a freestanding deep brass bath, and a spacious upper-level living/kitchen area.

Pet-Friendly Accommodations and Amenities:

Dog-Friendly Suites: The Crescent Suite, Buxton Suite, Opera Suite, and Solomon Suite are dog-friendly and feature BBQs. There is a charge of £35 per dog per stay.
Self-Service and Luxury Upgrades:

Muse Escapes operates as a self-catering business with no reception, bar, or breakfast room. For luxury upgrades or experiences, guests are encouraged to consult the guest guidebook provided in each apartment.
