Any requests to move the booking dates will be considered based on the date and circumstances, and the decision remains at the discretion of the Muse Escapes Ltd. An admin charge for moving the booking would still apply.

A cots and a high chair are available in each property, with some properties having two of each available.

These are complimentary and must be arranged 7 days prior to arrival. Guests should bring bedding for the cots as we do not provide this for hygiene reasons.

A seasonal welcome hamper will be waiting for you in your property on arrival.

The products included do vary throughout the year as we try to stay seasonal and everything is locally sourced.

An example hamper includes milk, Yorkshire Tea, our specially brewed Buxton coffee, Local Chocolates.

We normally invite you to arrive from 3pm and vacate your property by 10am.

We do endeavour to offer some flexibility and early arrival and lazy check out can sometimes be arranged, especially out of high season, from only £30.

Contact us a week before your stay to check availability.

After the booking has been paid in full, you will receive a pre-arrival email 72 hours before your arrival date which includes confirmation of the booking information, travel directions and how to access keys for the property.

This will request you to confirm your expected arrival time also.

You are welcome to bring your dog with you to one of our many luxury dog-friendly properties. These properties are Candle House, The Crescent Suite, The Buxton Suite, The Opera Suite and the Solomon’s Suite at Foxlow Grange.

The Peak District is perfect for dog-friendly holidays, with so much choice for lovely, varied walks through some of Britain’s most stunning countryside. Dogs will be charged at £30 per pet per stay, and a maximum of two are allowed per pet friendly property. We are not able to accept any pets apart from dogs in our properties.

Our properties being dog-friendly means they are most welcome there. We do a thorough clean after every stay to ensure all dog hairs are clear so that they are still five star standard for every arrival.

Not every dog-friendly holiday home is escape-proof, but our team can help you narrow down your search if you would like to know more about the garden enclosure.

Please note all bookings with dogs are subject to completing our Dog Policy before booking your holiday in The Peak District.

All of our holiday homes are self-catering so you will need to bring your own provisions, however our kitchens include a full inventory of typical items you would find in your own kitchen so you shouldn’t need to bring anything with you.

We will include some matches, dishwasher tablets, kitchen roll, tea towel and washing up liquid to get you started.

Each luxury self-catering holiday home includes the following items to make your stay
more comfortable.

Where properties differ slightly in their offering and included items, this is clear within the individual property’s information.

  • a seasonal welcome hamper
  • a digital property guide to help you with the property and the local area during your stay
  • luxury toiletries: shampoo, conditioner, shower gel
  • high quality bed linen and bath towels
  • a hairdryer in each bedroom
  • bathrobes in properties with hot tubs
  • an initial stock of basic cleaning products
  • an initial stock of refuse and recycling bags
  • an initial stock of toilet roll
  • a stock of kindling, logs and firelighters
  • washing facilities, iron and ironing board

All properties will continue to be cleaned and maintained to a high standard.

Following the gov.uk advice for accommodation providers, precautions are in place so you, our team, and the properties remain safe.

All our colleagues and our owners continue to review NHS advice on how to prevent the spread of germs:

https://www.nhs.uk/live-well/healthy-body/how-to-prevent-germs-from-spreading/

As well as our additional cleaning processes, whilst staying we will ask you to follow our measures to reduce social interactions.

More information will be shared with you before arrival, and guidance is left at the property.
If you have any further questions, please email: info@museescapes.com

We advise you to take out holiday insurance for your stay, which starts from as little as £35 per booking and covers you should you or a member of your party test positive for Covid.

Please note most policies will only cover a positive test and do not cover quarantine or self-isolation.

If we can resell your dates we will offer a refund or a credit in full for the value of your booking, less a £25 administrative charge.

Our doors are open at our self-catering holiday homes across the Peak District. If anything changes with the Government guidelines resulting in a change of holiday plans, Muse Escapes Ltd can work with you to reschedule or refund your booking so you can book with confidence.

– If your booking is affected by travel restrictions
Should more government restrictions be introduced in the future that prevents you from
being allowed to travel, bookings that are impacted will have the following three options:

– Transfer your booking to a later date
You will be able to transfer your booking to a new date. Our team will process this as quickly as we can. Where possible, we are asking all guests to consider transferring their booking to a later date, to ensure you still get the holiday you had planned, and so the owner of the property also has a booking they hoped to fulfill but now can’t.

– Take credit for the full amount you have paid
Taking credit is well suited to guests who would like to move their booking but aren’t yet able to commit to a new date. This credit is held in your account until you are ready to rebook, and don’t worry about taking your time as there’s no deadline for rebooking.

– Cancel your booking for a full refund
If neither of the above options is possible, you will have the option to cancel your booking and receive a refund for the amount you have paid.

If you have any further questions, please email on info@museescapes.com and we will come back to you as soon as possible.

The refund guarantee covers national and local lockdowns but does not cover you or your party for being unable to travel if someone in the party contracts Covid, or if you are required to self-isolate or quarantine.
